The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.”

My! Doesn’t that sound so simple, “If You Want It…Go After It!” These are the words I heard in my spirit while delivering my message on Sunday. I took it to mean, if you really want it, you can have it if you pursue it. The Lord and I have been discussing some matters that He laid on my heart many years ago. Even though I am a doer, many times, I proceed with caution. Sometimes, maybe too cautiously. I am a thinker, and I like to look at situations from various angles.

Nevertheless, when God spoke, I knew it was time to throw caution to the wind. After all, He sees all and knows all. My times are in His hands.

My friend, I believe there are some things that you desire and have been pondering over too long. Well, I will repeat the words that God gave me, “If You Want It…Go After It!” This reminds me of the time that God told Joshua, “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face?” In case you are not familiar with the story, Joshua and his leaders were prostrate before the Lord praying and hoping to ascertain why they had lost a battle to a small nation like Ai. Their answer was straightforward, sin was in the camp. Joshua had the authority to do something about it. So God told him to get up and get busy. Clean the camp. (See Joshua 7.)

I believe this is the message that God is trying to convey to most of us. We have prayed and meditated long enough. It’s “Do Time!” Stop marching in circles in your mind and “do” what it takes to fulfill the dream.

No, it will not be handed to you or me on a silver platter! We have work to do. I don’t know what you are trying to accomplish, perhaps it’s to open a brick and mortar or online store, start a ministry for young men or women, take piano or swimming lessons or get your degree. I don’t know, but you must take the first step if you want to see it come to fruition.

To achieve your goals you may need to consult a professional for advice. Or it could call for finances that you don’t have. If that’s your case, position yourself for funding. In addition, working your dream might require extra time in your day. Are you willing to walk away from your secure nine to five? The list of possibilities could go on and on. One thing I know for sure, “It’s action time…put one foot in front of the other and go for your goal.”
