But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV)
I’ve heard many people say, “I’m just ordinary” or, “God uses ordinary people.” If you consider yourself ordinary, maybe that’s why you’re getting ordinary results. Everything produces after its kind.
Jesus didn’t suffer, bleed and die for us (born again believers) to be ordinary. Everything He did and everyone that accepts His offer of salvation is exceptional. An exceptional person is extraordinary, unusual, not typical. God sees us as a peculiar people, a holy nation, a royal priesthood, and a chosen people. Does this resonate as ordinary to you?
And don’t say, “You know what I mean!”
NO! That’s the problem in a nutshell people don’t know what we mean because we don’t speak who we are. Our words have power. We create what we speak. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV). God created the world with His speech. “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible” (Hebrews 11:3 NKJV).
I am not an ordinary person. I am EXCEPTIONAL, and I do EXCEPTIONAL things. Even after the above explanation, some would say that I’m being arrogant, prideful and egotistical. I know who I am, and I will not apologize for others perception of me!
If you would like to experience more exceptional happenings in your life, get to know who you are in your heart and act accordingly. God made you exceptional…Now, I ask you again…are you ordinary or exceptional?
Declare…
I am an exceptional person, and I don’t want to insult God by calling myself ordinary. I am doing exceptional works to build His kingdom. The world can see that I am exceptional.

Thank you for the reminder. In today’s face paced, ungodly world, I tend to forget. God bless you and your ministry.
You are welcome.
Great blog Apostle! I’ve been updating my “daily confession” this week and studying the word, Homologeo (GR) – (homo) the same (logio) what I speak; to agree. Basically, it means, “saying about myself what God says about me! This is a great addition to my study. “I am exceptional and I do exceptional things!” Amen! I agree. Thank you for reminding me today of who I am in Christ! Love and appreciate you!
Thanks! Yes, you are exceptional. You are welcome.
Great Reminder -. I am exceptional!
Thank you.
Yes you are!
