“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” Ephesians 4:11-12
Lord, You said in Your Word that You are building Your church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The enemy will not overthrow it because he doesn’t have the dunamis nor the exousia to overpower Your church. However, he hasn’t given up; he is attempting to destroy the minds of Your people by any means possible. The enemy is making an effort to discourage believers and weaken them physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
Lord, as workers in Your Kingdom, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors, Teachers, Ministers, and members of Your body, we decree and declare that we will not come down from the wall. We will not relinquish our assignments or be distracted by the tactics of the enemy. We will stay focused on the calling to empower Your people through nurturing, preaching, teaching, training, healing, protecting, and evangelizing those who are to be a part of Your Kingdom. We will be steadfast in everything You have ordained for us to do.
As workers in Your Kingdom, we will exalt You and Your agenda in this spiritually dark world. We will preach and teach with boldness, power, and conviction. The faces of the people will not deter us. We will confess our sins and encourage others to do the same. We will seek answers from You, Abba, Father, and not from the world or ungodly resources.
Give us eyes to see and recognize the enemy’s schemes before he has a chance to attack. Give us ears to hear Your voice and those who are speaking on Your behalf.
- Give us strategies to fight against all the plots of the enemy the way You led Nehemiah.
- Give us supernatural strength and help us to persevere like Noah.
- Give us the courage and endurance of Esther.
- Give us the wisdom of Solomon.
- Give us the humility of Moses.
- Give us the boldness of Peter.
- We need the insights of Joshua.
- Put songs in our heart like David as we fight the good fight of faith.
- Help us to be as faithful as Ruth.
- Help us to be wise leaders like Deborah.
- Help us to be as hospitable as Lydia.
- Lord, give us the grace to pay the price of leadership.
We bind every spirit that would weaken our hands and disgrace the work. We bind the spirits of lust, greed, narcissism, pride, and selfishness. These spirits will not operate in our lives. Keep us aligned with Your will. Help us not to be deceitful in our ministry and business practices.
Lord, continue to renew our minds daily and give us revelation knowledge as we read and study Your Word. Help us not to be slothful, but diligent in prayer. Give us insights into Your ways and promises. Give us a spirit that is open to correction by You and our fellow workers.
Lord, we yield ourselves to inner healing and freedom from inner turmoils. Give us a mind to stand in unity as we fight the good fight of faith. Lord, we need a heart of compassion for the people; help us to treat them the way You would.
Lord, help us to believe every word that You have spoken and that You have our backs. You said, You will never leave us nor forsake us. Keep a bloodline drawn around us and hide us under the shadow of Your wings. Thank You for dispatching Your angels to guard us in all of our ways.
Thank You, Lord, for Who You are and for all that You do for Your people. Thank You for hearing us and entrusting us as workers in Your Kingdom. We will always delight in and rely on You.
Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, Oh Lord, our strength and our Redeemer.
It’s in the name of Jesus that we pray, amen.
